A tiny 50's bungalow is revamped with a top shelf collection of appliances and fixtures in this Sacramento remodel. Our client Mr. Edwards was ready for a bold change with colorful navy painted cabinets and a kitchen ready to perform efficiently with KitchenAid appliances. We removed one nook window to accommodate tall pantry cabs, wine refer and "X" wine storage and KitchenAid French door refer. The well organized kitchen layout provides excellent storage, multiple work areas and a place for kids to sit outside of the work triangle - all attained without removing any walls. A New Chocolate Finish on Oak Cabinets Transforms w/Stunning Results!

Every inch of oak cabinetry within this home was painted in a rich chocolate stain, saving the client thousands vs. the cost for new cabinetry!  The oak handrails & spindles, vanities, hall linen cabinet doors were all enhanced by paint, showcasing the beautiful oak grain.  New appliances, split face quartz back-splash and counters, including new flooring for entry, hall and kitchen, took this home to the next level for a maximum return on investment.

The deep Kohler cast iron sink is the kitchen workhorse!

Beautiful kitchen update in monochromatic color palette. We expanded the kitchen U shape 15" by adding two corner lazy Susan's left & right of the new range.  Herringbone tile adds a layer of texture to complement the raised panel doors & honed counters echo the look of the smudge-proof appliances. The old cabinets over the peninsula were removed to see the beautiful view of the outside orchard!

STACKABLE WASHER/DRYER & STORAGE HIDDEN BEHIND THE TALL CABINET!

Hidden behind a tall custom cabinet is a stackable washer and dryer!  This project incorporated the dining and laundry rooms into the kitchen, and closed a hall entry and widened the kitchen opening from the living area. To the right of the sink counter, a small wall mounted TV was placed above the tiny vintage milk man pass thru door - which was stripped of its layered paint to reveal the original galvanized door.  We framed a corner window in place of a diagonal sink configuration and slid the sink down for a more convenient layout and replaced all windows.

TRADITIONAL CHERRY CABINETS BY SCHULER, CUSTOM COPPER HOOD

Complete kitchen, family room, entry, laundry many other areas of this spacious home were designed with a nod to traditional styling using warm tones and raised panel cherry cabinets. The cabinets were used throughout the home including a custom TV entertainment center, all vanities & a large study desk.
Lots of textures and warm finishes for this traditional style create a space that looks bigger and more to scale with the tall ceilings.
